NHS Health Check

NHS Health Check

What is a Health Check?

You might be feeling great but, if you’re over 40, you may be higher at risk of developing a stroke, diabetes or cardiovascular disease.

A FREE NHS Health Check can help you stay healthy and reduce these risks by spotting early warning signs.

Keep enjoying the things you love to do, with the people who are important to you by making changes now.

Coronavirus Update

At Live Well Stay Well we want to support as many residents of Buckinghamshire as possible whilst having the safety of the public, and staff at the forefront. Therefore, in light of the new Coronavirus Government guidelines for a second national lockdown from Thursday 5th November, we will not be able to provide NHS Health Checks appointments until the lockdown is lifted. We hope that we will be able to return soon, and we will let everyone know in due course!

If you had an NHS Health Check booked after the 5th November, we will be in touch to discuss your options.

If you would still like an NHS Health Check, please speak to your GP, or give us a call and we can check your eligibility and put you on our waiting list.

Where to get a Health Check?

We recommend getting a free NHS Health Check at your GP surgery. If you're in the 40-74 age group without a pre-existing condition, you can expect to receive a letter from your GP inviting you for a free NHS Health Check every five years.

If you are eligible for a free NHS Health Check but cannot get one at your GP, or you don’t have a GP, we can provide one for you in a convenient community location and time to suit.  Give us a call or register today to find out if you’re eligible and book in.
